Synopsis:
Life is not always easy, especially not for Santosh Duggal. Together with his wife Kusum, his daughter Payal, and his son Sandeep, the maths teacher lives in a small flat in Delhi. His paycheck hardly covers the rent, not too much remains to fulfill his family’s needs. Nevertheless, one day the Duggals dare to dream. Santosh’s sister invites them to a wedding. Instead of going by motorcycle, Santosh wants to travel by car. What follows is a journey of chaos, realizations, calculations, confrontations and bonding. The Duggals are willing to fight for the dream of their own four wheels. Until there is the option of quick money and they have to decide what they treasure more: material possessions or their moral integrity. Funny, realistic, and heartwarming, ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ depicts the typical problems of an Indian middleclass family, whose income is not sufficient to fulfill all their wishes.
