Synopsis:
Four teenagers jump the wall of their boarding school to go and see an adult film. Caught by the warden, they are expelled and sent home. For Rohan, coming home is a shocking experience. He sees his father for the first time in eight years and discovers a six-year- old half brother he never knew existed.
Under the thumb of his authoritarian father who runs his house with military discipline, Rohan is forced to study engineering against his wishes – a profession he has neither the talent for nor interest in. Put to work in his father’s steel factory is a far cry from his dreams of being a poet. A sensitive, rebellious soul, Rohan is determined to forge his own life and pursue his dreams of becoming a writer.
Based on real life characters, this endearing story of self-realization received a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival and revealed the amazing talents of first-time actor Rajat Barmedra and first-time director Vikramaditya Motwane.
